If you have watched a film in the last half century, you can bet that Kathleen Carroll has too!  Not only has she watched along with you, but she has done so with a masterful and critical eye.

Kathleen has been an influential voice for millions spanning decades as movie critic and editor for the New York Daily News. Variety described her as the critic "who picks pix people like."  She has been both a film consultant and a script consultant for many projects, associate producer of "Diary of the Cannes Film Festival", served on juries of the Berlin Film Festival, the Montreal Film Festival and the Santa Barbara Film Festival.  Kathleen has been a lecturer at Fordham University, New York University, the New School of Social Research and is Adjunct Associate Professor at St. John's University.

We are truly honored to pay tribute to our friend and LPFF co-founder and Artistic Director, Kathleen Carroll and what better time than as a "kick-off" to this year's festival. Her contributions to the Adirondack Film Society and as Artistic Director for the Lake Placid Film Festival have enabled us to continue to bring unique film programming and conversations, directors, actors, producers and industry insiders to the region since 2000.

Please join us as we celebrate Kathleen Carroll at this special event.

(Event tickets $125/person and includes a Lake Placid Film Festival “All Festival Pass” valued at $79 for all ticket purchasers, which will be distributed during the Tribute Gala.)
